Abstract. The article analyses the vocabulary of the dialects of the upper Nepryadva River. The lexical system of the dialects of the area reflects various human activities, including those related to domestic culture. The aim of this study is to carry out a systematic analysis of the vocabulary of the dialects of the upper Nepryadva River, which reflects the diversity of the everyday culture among the people living in this area. The entire corpus of fixed tokens collected in such localities as the village of Krasny Holm, the village of Alekseevka, the village of Prudy, the village of Nikitskoye and the village of Nepryadva was classified into thematic groups. The following groups of dialect vocabulary have been identified: 1. Household equipment; 2. Household objects; 3. Folk costume; 4. Food. The article presents the analysis of the lexemes representing folk costume and its details, namely elements of women's folk costume. The article also compares the collected dialectal lexical material with data from a number of lexicographic sources, such as the Dictionary of Russian Folk Dialects, the Dictionary of the Russian Language edited by A. P. Evgenieva, the Explanatory Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language edited by V. I. Dahl, the New Dictionary of the Russian Language edited by T. F. Efremova. Women's folk costume, as one of the brightest elements of folk culture, has a number of names represented by a complex of lexical units. It should be noted that the dialectal lexical facts related to the thematic group of "household culture", including the names of the clothes, their details and features, continue to exist in modern dialects, in spite of a certain tendency to levelling.
Keywords: lexical system of dialects, culture of everyday life, thematic groups, Tula dialects, the Nepryadva River, Volovskiy district, Tula Oblast, women's folk costume.
