Abstract. The article is aimed to determine the factors influencing effective intercultural communication in classes with a multinational composition of students. The article considers such main factors of the organization of intercultural interaction in the educational environment, in multinational classes, as taking into account the degree of student’s adaptation to life and educational activities at school; taking into account the success of the students' acculturation stage (more widely, multiculturation); the degree of preparedness of the teacher to work in a multicultural school and the presence of their attitude to intercultural interaction; taking into account the level of the student's proficiency in their native language and Russian. The main method of the conducted research was the included observation of the educational process taking place in multicultural schools in Astrakhan and the Astrakhan region. The focus of attention was interpersonal communication within a small student group in such coordinates as "student – student" and "student – teacher". The article proves that in order to ensure effective intercultural communication, a well-organized structure of the educational space is important, including teaching, educational and socially adaptive environment.
