Abstract. The work regards the linguistic representation of the patient-oriented approach in the texts of clinical recommendations (guidelines). The authors highlight that patient-orientated has a direct connection with promotion of a healthy lifestyle, personification (the creation and use of personal medications, individualized clinical recommendations, therapies and systems of monitoring), predictability (predictive focus in advance of developing the disease), participativity (a joint activity between the doctor and the patient). All of the foregoing is implemented at the documentary level (through the development and implementation of individualized and harmonized clinical guidelines and clinical recommendations for patients), at the linguistic level (the use of language markers that implement participativity, compliance and empathy as the main categories of a patient-centered approach); at the graphic level (the use of visual materials, infographics, special fonts and other ways of highlighting the text of the document).
Keywords: clinical recommendations, patient-oriented approach, empathy, participativity, compliance.
