Abstract. The article is devoted to the negative nominations of a person presented in a Small Academic dictionary. The relevance of the study lies in the lack of knowledge about person nominations in the aspect of expressing verbal aggression - a multiaspectual phenomenon with different ways of representation. The analysis of the lexical and semantic content of negative nominations gives reason to believe that they are carriers of aggressive connotations, because they have a unidirectional negativizing effect that can influence the axiological sphere. In order to identify the corpus of aggressively charged tokens nominating a person, the author applies continuous sampling method. The result is a corpus of lexical units - linguistic markers of "aggressiveness". The article also presents an assessment of their quantitative and percentage ratio. An attempt is made to describe a segment of the lexicosemantic field representing a set of "aggressive" person nominations. In the selected nominations, there is an expansion of the lexico-semantic structure in terms of their representation in modern speech practice. The analyzed contexts confirm this fact. Identification of the range of words included in the lexico-semantic field of human characteristics with such labels as disparaging, disapproving, taboo, informal, allowed to identify the following thematic groups: 1) appearance 2) character 3) mental abilities 4) moral qualities of a person. The author concludes that the majority of person nominations belong to the "moral qualities" thematic group. The article analyzes the contextual representation of the "human appearance" thematic group from the "Gazetniy" subcorpus of the National Corpus of the Russian Language, analyzes the frequency of their use. The prospects for further research lie in studying the functional features of the identified thematic groups of person nominations.
Keywords: nomination, status label, verbal aggression, evaluation component, connotation, negative nomination.
